This flute is wonderful for novices. I bought it for my 6th grader who began playing flute this year. It is sturdy, all of the valves seal well and the keys perform extremely smoothly. The purple finish appears very good and doesn’t display fingerprints or smudges. Oh, and it sounds very good as well. Well really worth the money.

My daughter adores this flute. I loved the fact that she could “customize” it to fit her. She adores the pink and the truth it comes with so many items for the price tag is amazing.
