This is a driver which I used to make my center channel MTM design (not shielded so be careful of the placement). Amazing low and mid range clarity in this small driver. capable of extending down to 70Hz in a good design. When used in conjuction with a good tweeter (dayton, pioneer) and crossover(dayton), you will get an amazing sounding component system for your car.

Review by G. Scott Maclean for PYLE-PRO PDMW6 – 6.5” High Performance Mid-Bass Woofer
Rating:
I bought this speaker because the factor subwoofer in my 1994 Explorer was blown. Replacement subwoofers were $60+, and this little speaker fit into the spot perfectly.
It doesn’t put out anywhere near as much bass as the original subwoofer – the cone doesn’t have nearly as much excursion, and it does tend to clip at higher bass levels.
Not to say it isn’t good – it does put out a fair amount of bass for its size, but certainly not what you would expect from a subwoofer, which this is not.
This speaker is probably much better suited in a speaker system where it is not the sole bass producer, or not in an auto environment where higher levels of bass are required.
